Hardkandy - Three Days

Second single i’ve heard now from Hardkandy and again i’m impressed, so much so that having been sent the promo cd of this I promptly went out and bought the 7” on it’s release. The fact that I then forgot to review it makes it a bit of a blooper on my part.

Anyway it’s a slightly different track this time, it’s still on a funky vibe but Three Days is the story of only having three days in Brighton to get to know someone, it’s honest and open, shows the mindset of a man perfectly and is all set to some rather fine jazz influenced music.

A special mention to the drums on the outro which I love, not often I pick out the drums as a high point in a track but for some reason this really stood out to me.

As always Catskills give us plenty of stuff on the b-side to keep us interested, Elmore Judd & Louis Slippers give us a fine laidback remix of the title track and you get a brand new track in the form of Jack Of Clubs.
