Casiotone For The Painfully Alone - Town Topic EP
Casiotone For The Painfully Alone is basically Owen Ashworth, a man who dropped out of film school and has now released four albums and a clutch of singles and EPs under this guise.
The Town Topic EP is my first encounter with his music and I have to say it hasn’t left a great impression on me, two of the tracks here are instrumentals (Town Topic and I Love Creedence), which don’t offer anything wonderful musically and the lo fi opener Ice Cream Truck may appeal to the underground lo-fi scenesters but for me lacks anything to bring you back to it.
The EP is out now through OIB Records.
