Losers vs Candi Staton - U Got The Boot
Taking on You Got The Love by Candi Staton is a brave move by any producer as it’s probably one of the biggest dance anthems ever.
Eddy Temple-Morris (XFM) and Tom Bellamy (Cooper Temple Clause) are the two producers who have done just that. Following on from their successful reworking of Killing In The Name Of they again bring a legendary tune up to date with a modern mix of the track that adds in more of a twisted beat.
I don’t think it’s as good as their Rage Against The Machine mix personally and it doesn’t improve on the original, it is though an intersting mix and has respected the original, which is as much as they could ever hope for.
The single is out now through Pirate Breaks.
