Lo-Star - Wake Up
North London based five piece Lo-Star release there debut single Wake Up, profits will be going to the UK Burma Campaign.
A-side Wake Up has meaningful lyrics encouraging us to wake up to whats going on around us. Musically repetative, vocally a bit weak it seems to be missing something but can’t put my finger on what. It’s ok but not overly stand out and doesn’t hit you between the eyes, nice sentiment but that’s about all.
B-side Falling Short, more computer generated than pure rock, again repetative beat in the best pop style and again the vocals seem weak but perhaps thats just because the vocals are actually a little too quiet. Perhaps all that’s really missing is a bit of volume to the vocals.
