Coldcut featuring Robert Owens - Walk A Mile In My Shoes
Pioneering dance outfit Coldcut return with another single off of their superb album Sound Mirrors with the release of Walk A Mile In My Shoes with legendary singer Robert Owens.
Owens is known for being one half of Fingers Inc during the chicago house scene in the 80’s and has added vocals to countless dance tracks such as I’ll Be Your Friend which was a big hit on the Perfecto label in the 90’s.
This collaboration see’s them taking the Joe South classic from the 70’s and twisting it into a soulful dance track. Also worth a shout are the mixes from Tiga, Tom Belton and Henrik Schwarz, the only one that didn’t hit the spot for me was the Timo Garcia + The Chesire Catz Remix.
The single is released on the 21st August through Ninja Tune.
