The Loose Salute - Why’d We Fight?
Over the years Heavenly Records have introduced me to some great talents that may not have gone on to have the success they have without this label being around, I’m thinking Saint Etienne, The Manic Street Preachers, Doves, Ed Harcourt, Flowered Up and Beth Orton to name but a few.
The latest band they’ve dug out and placed in front of me for my delight are The Loose Salute, fronted by Lisa Bilson they are a melodic and harmonious burst of tweeness that have shown a real knack for structuring a song and squeezing out the last drop of a tune from as many of the notes played as possible.
