Chris Cornell - You Know My Name
The Bond theme tune isn’t an easy task to take on, especially when you have a pretty good track record and reputation from your previous acts (Audioslave and Soundgarden). Initially on hearing this I thought that Chris Cornell had tried to force this a little.
Watch Casino Royale for yourself though and you’ll see that it fits to the style of the film quite nicely. It almost plays like the mindset of latest bond Daniel Craig. Muscular, powerful and above all else darker than predecessors You Know My Name is classic bond with a twist of the dark side thrown in…shaken of course not stirred.
The single is out now as is the film.
