Leon Jean Marie - You Must Know
Despite what I’m about to write, I have to say I do like Leon Jean Marie, I think he’s a talented guy who pretty soon will deliver a killer album that will see him heading into the top bracket of UK singers, it’s just a shame that Bent Out Of Shape wasn’t that album really.
It had it’s moments and in Bed Of Nails had a really killer single, unfortunately it was weighed down by too much baggage in the form of filler. That one of those filler tracks is now surfacing as a single down the line shows the quality that was lacking to make a consistent debut.
You Must Know is his tale of being in love with someone who won’t even acknowledge or speak to him about it, nothing wrong with that for a lyrical subject, it’s just a problem when it’s put to music that is what I’d imagine UB40 sounding like if they tried to make a hip comeback this year.
