…Jack Flash, He’s Having A Gas, Gas, Gas!
One thing i’ve really got into over the last five years or so while running this website is UK hip-hop. While I had a very basic knowledge of the scene previously, i’ve expanded my listening in this field and have been rewarded by finding some real gems.
This issue i’ve honoured one of the unsung heroes with the front cover, a guy from Huddersfield who goes by the name of Jack Flash and he’s produced a superb record called The Union Jack Album. Just to back up what i’m saying about UK hip-hop you’ll also find a review of Baby J’s Baby Food album inside as well, another cracking listen I have to say.
If you are looking for a more indie based read then fear not, we have album reviews of Los Campesinos! and The Cure, as well as live reviews of Laura Marling and Feeder who were supported by The Chemists. Dance music you say? Ok then we’ll chuck in a review of the Le Le album for you and if you feel like treating yourself to a pop album we’ve got a review of the new Sugababes album, so read on to see how that measures up to previous offerings.
The issue is completed by regular contributor Bantam who laments how things used to be, he talks about The Decline Of Music, or more accurately why things were so much better before.
Enjoy!
