I sing myself to sleep, a song from the darkest hour, secrets I can't keep, insight of the day

Never Sleep

We had a great reaction to the Not Evident video that we put up last year by The Narcoleptic Dancers and the EP of the same name was a definite winner with me, now though we get to the serious business of their debut long player.

Never Sleep does contain much of the Not Evident EP, but they also deliver plenty of new tracks on this warm and richly engrossing record.

Dusty Cowboy is a beautifully simple track that twinkles all the way into your conscious, while Moon Thrill is far more subtle but equally as seductive.

It's an album that gets better and better with each listen and the gentle mixture of folk and electronica weave perfectly together to create an easy on the ear and cohesive listen that will reward time and time again.

It'll probably slip under the radar of many, but this is a duo that make subtle pop music sound so effortless, countless melodies and with a touch of European charm thrown in for good measure as well.
