Squarehead Yeah Nothing

Hating all things youthful now that ive accepted that i'm closer to death then ever, I should hate this album.

A three piece from Ireland, trying to do what the The Thrills unfortunately failed on, in making a surf record almost ten years ago. But I don’t, I love this album, it’s the sort of find that if I had any friends that were worth badgering on a cold November day, i'd be forcing them to buy a copy of this, but sadly I don’t, so I only have you dear reader to ramble onto.

Whilst everybody is falling over themselves to find the next New Order or Soft Cell with the 80’s niche being taken a little too far, it’s a gamble that has proven to be a winner on this album with the stand out tracks being Save Yourself, Mother Nurture, Tasty Fruit and Circle sounding amazing.

It’s a shame that it aint summer to listen to them, although I do have to confess that’s cheered me up a little in my pending darkness!
